Erasmus Mundus programme

The European Union's Erasmus Mundus programme aims to enhance quality in higher education and promote the intercultural understanding through scholarships and academic co-operation between Europe and the rest of the world.


Erasmus Mundus is implemented through of the following actions:

Action 1: Joint programmes at masters and doctoral levels;

Action 2: Partnerships between European and non European higher education institutions at all academic levels;

Action 3: Projects to enhance the attractiveness of Europe as an educational destination and a centre of excellence at world level.

 

MANECA project

MANECA stands for Mobility Academic Network between EU and Central Asia and is a project within the framework of the Erasmus Mundus Action 2 programme.


MANECA partnership includes 15 Central Asian universities from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan and 5 European universities from Belgium, Germany, Lithuania and Slovakia.


In the frame of the project, more than 100 students at all academic levels, academic and administrative staff from Central Asian universities have received scholarships for study, research and training at one of the European partner universities.
